We bring the terribly sad news that Philip Gerber, who was a key member of the Cambridge Blues team at the 2022 match at Formby, and mentor to several in the side, has died after after a short battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife and young daughter. The photo shows Philip, on the left, with his caddy in that 2022 match, George Webster.
Andrew Tropp, a close family friend, would like to hear from any members who have thoughts or memories of Philip that can be shared with his family:
“I’m collecting any letters, thoughts, memories and photos to honor Phil. I’ll combine them into a book for his wife Yvonne, daughter Monet and his immediate family. The focus with these are sharing with them the legacy Phil left behind. Many things go unsaid in life, now is the time to put pen to paper.
