The Society team of Ollie Lowe/James Cumberland, Matthew Tewddell/Simon Anthony & Peter Pentecost/Roger Kelly were drawn in the toughest group which included the Moles and the Wigorns. After a 2-1 victory over the Old Shirburnians the Society met the local team, the Wigorns, who had beaten The Society last year on their way to victory. And the result was the same with a narrow 2-1 defeat. On Friday morning we still had a chance but the final match was halved giving an overall halved match against The Moles. That meant that the Wigorns progressed to the final once again where they defeated Royal Cinque Ports with every match going down 18. Blackwell was in great condition and this is a great event – one which we hope to win soon.
