Members will be saddened to hear of the death of Noel Stephens, aged 85. Noel was OUGC Captain in 1962 and former Treasurer, Captain, President and Club Historian at Worplesdon Golf Club. Noel was also an active member of the R&A, serving on the Rules, Championship, General, Golf Development, Heritage and Membership committees.
A lunchtime reception will be held on Saturday 29th November from 12 noon, at Worpelesdon Golf Club. Any member wishing to attend should contact Chris Lomas, Secretary at Worplesdon, at chris@worplesdongc.co.uk. Any member wishing to make a donation in memory of Noel should do so to Woking Hospice.
